Posterous theme by Cory Watilo

How it all started....

1988 - In the days of their youth and swagger, 4 friends, rode their bikes from somewhere in Florida down Highway A1A to Key West.

2012 - Now that youth gave way to midlife, and thoroughly unfounded daring and bravado replaced most of the swagger, the time has come to do it AGAIN.

The plans are laid, the route is set, Jacksonville to Key West - the length of highway A1A, 510 miles.  We set out on October 13 (no it's not a Friday) and arrive on October the 19th.

Having become more responsible, this time, we are riding for a fantastic cause:
St. Jude Children's Hospital Research Center.  So, support us by opening your hearts and wallets and pledging generously per mile we ride.

To give you an idea of what your generosity coupled with our riding can do right away:

$30 can help provide a St. Jude family with meals for one day.

$100 can help provide one pair of pediatric crutches.

$140 can help provide two platelet count tests.

$500 can help provide two transfusion units of red blood cells.

$1,000 can help provide two days of oxygen.

$1,500 can help provide a day of chemotherapy.

$4,000 can help provide a day of outpatient care.

We will be broadcasting our progress live on this page and Facebook.  Every cent you give will be greatly appreciated and will go straight to St. Jude.

Please pledge your PER-MILE-RIDDEN donation to St. Jude here.
